We also have private space for you to host your own event! Our talented cooks can create a menu special for your group, and we will gladly help book musicians or other amenities as well. Call for availability, rates and menu samples.

Tajine Cooking Classes with Abdul
Sunday, March 14th, 5 to 7pm
Learn how to cook classic Moroccan dishes using a tajine.
Followed by a shared meal, tea and light dessert. Limited space, advance registration and payment required. These classes are held monthly and posted on our website and at Mint Tea. Call to reserve your space in one of our upcoming classes, or speak w/ Abdul about having your own private class for up to 10 people.
Cost per person $20.
Full Moon Community Drum Circles
April - September on the Full Moon, start 6:30pm
Our Full Moon Community Drum Circles have been ongoing throughout the summer months for over 6 years. No experience is necessary and instruments of all kinds are welcome... there are also instruments/drums to share. Come prepared to drum, listen, dance or simply enjoy the community spirit that arises when we gather on a warm summer's eve, connecting to the beat of the drum. These are family-friendly events and all are welcome. No outside food and drinks please.

Zaina Hart's 2nd Friday Belly Dance Hafla
Friday March 12th, 6:30 to 8:30 pm
Zaina, an International Instructor/Performer, teaching at Clark College shares an evening of Middle Eastern Dance and Music with the community. Students and dance friends from near and far will grace Mint Tea, sharing in the revelry, the second Friday of every month. Reservations recommended.
Meydan performing
Saturday March 27th, 7 to 9 pm
Portland-based Meydan performs traditional Turkish & Balkan Music consisting of 5 seasoned band members. Using authentic instruments from what was once the Ottoman Empire with a rich music history, allows the true colors of their music to be expressed. Ranging from Devotional Sufi to Turkish & Balkan Folk, we hope you will be able to enjoy and experience Meydan and their passion for this region's music.
